The story of how I found out I was pregnant..

Soo how do I begin this story..

Well it was my 22nd birthday on the 19th of July. We had a lovely meal planned with the family it was on a Wednesday evening. It was my parents, the in laws, my brother and his girlfriend and my husbands sister. Was a lovely get together. I had steak medium rare and 3 glasses of wine..

Anyway the next day I had slimming world weigh in.

I gained 2.5lb and even though I had been good all week I thought something wasn’t right..

I left as I felt shit for gaining as you do🤷🏼‍♀️ so I went and got a bag of Doritos and dip👏🏼 say down to watch my programme new girl.

If you haven’t watched it all please skip this lart😂 cece took a pregnancy test and it was positive.

I had some in the draw cheapo ones for good old ebay😂 I thought maybe I should take a test as I haven’t for over 2-3 weeks ( we were trying) I had no idea how long it took or what but hey.

The week before my birthday I had been messaging Chloe saying I’m getting really bad trapped wind and period symptoms but no period, I didn’t get periods anyway with the pill I was on and I didn’t get one one I came off on my wedding night.

So I took a test when we got back off honeymoon end of June showed negative so we kept trying and whatever

But that night on the 20th of July the big cross showed up and I couldn’t believe it.

Kurt was out playing darts on a usual Thursday evening. I tried to ring but no service in the pub. I was shaking I was that scared as I didn’t think I’d fall this quick and I wasn’t mentally ready to have a baby.

I snapchatted chloe saying you need to FaceTime me at 10 when you finish work😂

I rang my mum to tell her this was the conversation –

Me; hello mum( shaky and teary)

Mum- oh dear what’s wendy done now.

At this point I forgot my manger was being a right cow that day😂

Me; erm I think I’m pregnant.

Mum – Oh God oh god you’re on loud speaker Nigel and dad are here..

I could here my brother go OH GOD WELL DONE SIS.

My dad found it funny but shouted congrats.

Me; oh okay brill😂 by this point mum took me off loudspeaker and spoke to me and said why do you think you could be did you do a test,

Me; of course I did a test not sure if I wee’d on it to much or what😂

Moral of the story is always double check you’re not on loud speaker😂.

Anyway chloe rang me and she knew straight away I was pregnant, she screamed for ages and was shaking💖 and for my birthday she bought me the Digital pregnancy test💁🏼‍♀️

So actually Kurt was 4th finding out he was going to be a dad🤗

He came home slightly drunk, I sat him down and told him to wait as I wanted to record he reaction, I’ll try upload a video not sure if I can 🤷🏼‍♀️

Took him forever to hug me the dick.😂

So after all the excitement I made an appointment to see a nurse/midwife to book me in for a scan.

Our midwife was just pure amazing and I miss her 😫

So before we had our scan we clearly waited a while to tell anymore family, but we did this cute thing for my other half’s parents as it’s their first grandchild we took over the wedding album as they wanted to see the professional photos and we stuck this card in the back..

Was the cutest thing my other half got it on video of their reaction and it was just amazing.

Anyway we went for our 12 week scan..

We found out we was 13weeks and 5days pregnant which worked out I fell pregnant 2 days before we came home from honeymoon🤭

Hearing that tiny heartbeat pound away makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. Their isn’t a feeling like it.

We where even more excited that we didn’t have to wait to long for the 20 weeks scan to find out the gender.

I was told by plenty of people I was carrying like a boy; I’m craving like a boy. In my brain I was carrying a boy and never a girl.

20 weeks scan. We didn’t take a photo as the little bean was being a pain and wouldn’t move for the lady so we did this instead..

ITS A GIRL….

I asked the lady like 4 times can you double double check😂

We were both chuffed as nuts🤗

Couldn’t be happier.

Ooo my strange cravings were:

Quavers like a whole 6 pack.

Bubble gum fizzy bottles.

Capri suns.

Marmite roast potatoes.

Also I started to bake like all the time😂

Cookies, cupcakes, fairy cakes, brownies, gingerbread the lot😂

Christmas came and that was it the third trimester disappeared. We got gifted a 4D scan by my parents and we booked it for 30 weeks. Here are some of the photos; can recommend window to the womb🙌🏼 amazing staff and we had the same lady who did our 20 weeks scan at the hospital so it was lovely..
