Just going to do a review on the brand mam.
Where I couldn’t breastfeed I then was given the choice of cow and gate or aptamil.
I knew cow and gate was the cheaper option so went for that one as the midwife said it all does the same job. Just aptamil was more watery or something 🤷🏼♀️ don’t no, don’t really care. As long as my baby was getting fed I was happy.
So we used the cow and gate pre made bottles and phoebe took to it at room temperature which was fab🙌🏼
When we got out of the hospital we grabbed a few boxes of the pre made bottles I think we used them for over 2 weeks roughly then switched to powder.
Now this is where we struggled because I had no bottles apart from ones that was gifted to me from either boots the small mam ones or the nuby one from my amazon baby box. Same as dummies I had had a Tommee tippee, mam and a nuby as they all came with either a bottle or the steriliser machine.
So we tried nuby as it was the closest thing to a nipple as it said on the box…
She hated it it was way to flimsy and wobbled everywhere!
So we tried the mam as that was the closest match I could find to the cow and gate teats!

These are the ones boots gifted to me while I was pregnant both come with dummies it’s their starter bottle.
She took to it straight away and it was brill!
Was so pleased she latched on we tried it for a few days before getting anymore just incase she went off them. luckily she took to them so well.
So we visited my nan and she gave us £30 to spend on phoebe rather than give us clothes or something we didn’t need she said by something productive.
So the next day we popped into boots to check if they had any deals on bottles 🙌🏼
Luckily the starter pack was on offer at £24.99!

Which was fantastic you get..
8 bottles in total – 4 small and 4 large.
4 size 1 teats
4 bottle caps
1 0-2month dummy.
1 sippy cup teat and handle.
Now I think for 24/25 quid that’s bloody amazing 💁🏼♀️
Because all I had to get later on was the size 2 teat🙌🏼
Also another great reason and why we love mam so much is that their bottles are anti colic and self sterilising 🙌🏼 like what more could you possibly want in a bottle!
The bottle has a vented base, which is the ‘anti-colic’ part.
The ventilation holes regulate the pressure and the amount of air swallowed by your baby.
I can put my hands up and praise the lord because these bottles are a life savour my daughter never once got colic or bad trapped wind and it’s all down to these amazing bottles! Also they have a soft silky silicone teat is also aimed at making switching between breast and bottle easier.
How to sterilise the the anti-colic bottles –
Simply follow these 3 steps.
1. Fill the base with cool water using the measuring cap provided.
2. Place the bottle components on top of the base.
3. Heat in the microwave for 3 minutes.
It’s that easy!!
I couldn’t thank mam enough to be honest.
So phoebe stayed on 4oz per feed for a long time slowly moved up to 5oz, so we used the smaller bottles till she was nearly 5 and a months 😮 she only started to take 6 oz around 6 months. Even now as we have weaned she takes 5.5oz😂
Just to stop your worrying she’s perfectly on her weight line and is a healthy, chunky may I add and happy babe😍
She was having around 25oz a day. Now it’s down to 20oz as she has 3 meals a day as well as her milk 🙌🏼
So as you all no cleaning and sterilising bottles takes forever so 4 bottles wasn’t enough as I had to pre make them for a while when she was only on 3 oz as the prep machine only starts from 4 and it does 4.5oz cause of the hot shot and I was wasting a lot of milk.
So I pre made 3 bottles from the kettle and kept in the fridge so I was always behind on bottles.
So I purchased these as they was on offer in boots..

Just to keep handy also I left one at my mums just incase I ever forgot to pack a spare💁🏼♀️
She moved on to teat 2 at 4 months and some people say to leave them on size 1 but she needed it faster and she would cry it wasn’t coming at quick enough😂
I knew if half the milk was around her neck or face then clearly she didn’t need the next size up yet.
But she took to it so well and feeding became a lot easier as she was more calm and not getting to angry that it wasn’t fast enough.
So I was happy I purchased 8 teats from boots. As you can see I love boots for things as I got lots of point cause it counts as parenting club💁🏼♀️🙌🏼
So I got more points to get her things like dummies, clips, bottles, teething things💁🏼♀️ also spent the points on her never myself 😂
Anyway when we moved up the bottle size we only had 4 so I had to purchase another 2 and I wanted something different so went for these.
Their is another penguin one but it’s at my mums.
I just think they are super cute🤭
Now on to dummies..
We tried to go without a dummy simply because so many people I knew was against them🙄 I no I shouldn’t care what others think, but being a newbie mum you try to listen to everyone.
Anyway 3 week came
She wasn’t crying or screaming she simply kept sucking her bottom lip and i didn’t think that was right🤷🏼♀️ and then she wouldn’t settle well while trying to sleep so I got all the dummies out I had a tried each other she spat all of them out apart from MAM.
She latched on so quick and well then that was it she loved a dummy and slept so much better and calmed her down. And I should really call them a soother because originally that’s what they were called and what they are for to soothe the baby.
I’m so glad I did because it’s helped her so much specially with teething🙌🏼 she moves it around her mouth to chew on even turns the dummy around to chew the hard side😂

these are the 0-2 month old dummies we used which are fab because they are nice and small and fit her face so well!
Melts my heart🤭
She didn’t move up to the 0-6 dummies till she was 3-4months old because she was so small😍

We recently purchased the glow in the dark ones because she went in her own room from 6 months and it’s easier for her to find them when she wakes as she can put the dummy back into her mouth🙌🏼 which is fab because it saves me getting up💁🏼♀️

We also purchased the 6-12 dummies but she was gagging when we tried at 6 months, we have just tried at 7 months and it seams to be getting easier just think her mouth is still to small🤭😍
we won a competition with mam a while back in the summer and got these 12+ dummies😍
As you can see we well and truly love mam and I still love the fact they are so colourful and bright and have such cute pictures on them 😍
Hope you enjoyed this review
