Introducing a routine.

For this blog I have been gifted some gorgeous products from the wonderful Very from their Baby & Toddler campaign to use for Hugo & Phoebe.

So to start off with I know getting into routine is hard enough as it is with one let alone with two. Phoebes had a good routine since around 5 months old, and this time round I wanted to try and introduce one to Hugo at a earlier age. High hopes I know..

So lets start with bath time – I don’t bath both kids every night as its just impossible sometimes but its made easier with this Angelcare bath seat when doing both of them together as it means I can be hands free while Hugo still enjoys bath time with his sister. They also added in a tome Tippee bath and room thermometer, its so simple to use in the bath as you just place it in the water and wait for the reading to pop up, if the bath is to hot a LED warning light will flash. its easy to read as the LCD screen is nice and big and it gives super quick readings.

Next we have the Silver cloud baby bouncer. Hugo wasn’t to keen the first few times we tried but he got used to it with in a week and he’s really enjoying the vibrations and music. This has been such a life savour for me as Hugo has been suffering badly with colic and acid reflux so he’s forever wanting to be on me or sat up. So this has been an extra pair of hands while the husband is back at work. I can pop him in it and turn everything on and he can still see me and be sat up slightly which he finds more comfortable. Its also a great hight for when we are on the floor playing with his sister as he can feel involved. It’s super soft and of course so cute.

Now as you know Phoebe has always loved some sort of music/lullaby even to this day (2.5years) she loves white noise and a tune to fall asleep to, so when Very sent us this Twinkle & cuddle soother I was so excited! Phoebe got it out straight away and kept showing Hugo.

Once I managed to get it back off of her i had a play myself it was so lovely and soft.

As you all know we’ve had a massive heatwave in June & July this year and I’ve never bought a room thermometer (naughty I know) but when Phoebe was born it was march time and it was never ‘to hot’ for me to notice the room being boiling, Very sent us the Tommee Tippee Gro Egg i had seen them around before online mostly and never really looked into them so I was open minded and tested it out in Phoebe room first as hers always feels the hottest out of all of them in the house.

It looks nice and fits pretty much anywhere in her room. This little magic egg changes colour to the temperature of the room. So when its blue the room is to cold, yellow is just right and red is to hot. It shows you the correct temperature the room should be on the box. The colours of the Groegg match the tog labelling on the Tommee Tippee Sleepwear range. This helps choosing what your baby should wear at bedtime for a comfortable night sleep. We’ve been using it all throughout the heatwave and its helped keep a eye on both the kids with just a glance through the door to see the colour of the Groegg. As you remember me saying earlier Phoebe adores things that play lullaby music so when I got this beautiful teddy out she was super excited to see what it did. It was a chicco first dreams baby bear night projector! How cool does this sound right?! Its made from soft plastic and really easier for a toddler to use, all you have to do is press the bears tummy to start the soft melody and lights. We tend to use this more for Phoebe at the moment as Hugo settles a lot better with the Twinkle cloud from Fisher price we got sent as its more vibrate than the bear right now. So we pop this on while reading a story and then I lay with her for a good 10 minutes as it stays on for 20 minutes so I then leave her to it with the bear she loves watching it fade in and out of different colours it 100% has made bedtime more relaxing for her and even myself. Its suitable from 0months and id say toddlers love it to.
